Our little astronaut!

This past week, it was my turn to teach preschool at our house! The theme was space and planets. James loved it!

Last Christmas, James' uncle Jacob had given him a space shuttle as a little souvenir from the place where Jacob works! James loves and continues to play with his shuttle "Lantin" (his version of "Atlantis") most all of the time.

In my preparations for teaching about space, James and I have recently been watching You Tube clips of shuttle launches. James then asked me to help him get an external fuel tank and two solid rocket boosters for his shuttle. So, I got creative! Thanks to the cardboard bottoms of the wire hangers from the cleaners and an empty tin foil roll, I could fulfill my little boy's wish! James has a truly authentic shuttle wired onto 3 rockets! He has loved it and brought it with him everywhere... He also talks about flying...maybe one day he'll be a pilot or an astronaut!
