James starts T-ball

James really wanted to play t-ball this spring. So we signed him up and he's been having a great time!  I expected that he'd get frustrated with the new skills he needed to learn- like catching and throwing and hitting the ball with a bat. But he's been really devoted to learning and practicing them with an amazing attitude.
Here are some shots of his first game! We had snow flurries the first game (end of March) in North Carolina! How crazy is that!!!!

In the dugout...

One happy little boy!  Such a joy and a light in our lives!!!

How Johnny sleeps

I came and checked on Johnny one day while he was taking a nap.  I was so horrified that he had completely covered himself in his favorite blanket!  No head anywhere to be seen, at first. How could he not be smothered!

I came around and found this and had to capture it on film! When I tuck him in now, he says, "I go under, ok Mommy?"   Yes!  As long as you can breathe!

I love the things Johnny says- he's at such a fun age!!!

The Easter Beagle is coming and other Easter Fun!

Easter was so fun this year! Saturday, the weather was perfect!!! Warm, Sunny, just the way Easter should be. We opted to do all of our festivities on Saturday because the weather forecast was going to be awful for Easter Sunday.

Johnny really loves the movie, "Here comes the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown."  He's watched it so many times, and laughs at the humor in it!  He was so excited to color eggs and do an Easter egg hunt this year- thanks to the movie!

 Dying eggs!
 Got my Easter basket!
 Boys ready to go!
 Where's the Easter egg, Johnny?
 Found one!
 James found one, too!
 Success!
Larry and Johnny, as Johnny opens up the eggs and eats everything right there!
Mindy and James- James saves everything!
Easter morning, James wanted the Easter bunny to hide his basket in a really difficult-to-find place.  he finally found it!
Johnny's was easy to find.  Here they are- Johnny was disappointed the "Easter Beagle" didn't bring him Easter Eggs and chocolate. All he got were fun cereals & snacks & a kite. Oh well, maybe the Easter Beagle will do better next year, Johnny!
It seemed that not long after we found our baskets, Johnny got sick- sick enough that Mindy had to stay home and only Larry and James got ready and went to church.  Here are the two- very handsomely dressed & James was so proud to be matching his dad!!
